What's new in the ePegboard web app at play.epegboard.com. The web app ships continuously - here are the highlights, most recent first.
Web app (play.epegboard.com)
July 2026
- Special requests - note "these four should play together before we finish" in a couple of taps, even while those players are mid-game. Near the end of the night you gather the four and put them on: hold them out of the rotation, start them on a free court, queue them to come up in turn, or stage them as the next game - all from one card. It stays out of the way until you use it.
June 2026
- Better balanced games - the matchmaking has had a lot of work: more variety in who you play against, faster turnaround between games, and the option to show a live waiting queue like a traditional pegboard.
- In-game substitutions - swap a player into a prepared game, or switch two players between teams, in a couple of taps.
- Quicker score entry - the winning side is filled in for you at game over, the target score is shown, and the buttons are bigger for tablet touch.
- Player profiles and history - every player gets a profile with their full session history (games won, rating changes, court time and wait time), and you can edit a player straight from their profile mid-session.
- Clearer ratings for new players - a new player's fast-moving rating is marked as an estimate while it settles, and manual adjustments now show on the rating graph rather than appearing as an unexplained jump.
- League team support - lock two players as a fixed pair within a normal session, and see a club-wide report of which partnerships work best.
- Club insights - a redesigned reports hub with a full set of reports to open, sort and export to CSV: attendance over time, who is drifting away, member engagement and new-member conversion, match quality (your proof the picker is delivering good, fair games), partnerships, court utilisation, most improved, and payment summary.
- In-app news and session feedback - a news feed announcing new features, and an optional "how was tonight?" rating when you end a session.
May 2026
- Web app launched (10 May) - run a full club night in any browser on a tablet or laptop: check players in, auto-pick balanced games, enter scores and watch ratings update live. Existing clubs can import their Pegboard desktop history in one step.
- Member management - bulk-import members from a spreadsheet, search and filter the member list, set membership types, and a new beginner rating tier.
- Faster check-in - tap players in from a grid of photo tiles and add several at once, with an A-Z filter for larger clubs.
- Richer stats - per-game rating changes on each player's list, sortable attendee tables, and a tidy layout on phones.
- Built-in reports - session summary, payment summary, and a members CSV export.
